I wonder how Tesla would be different if it hadn’t done so much expansion/battery building and simply bought them.

Should anything this guy says be taken seriously? Isn’t he just the PR guy for Tesla?

Are we throwing a party when tesla becomes insolvent?

For better or for worse I have had nothing but negativity for Tesla and Elon since the beginning. I took a brief pause from being a hater during the time I sat co pilot for a launch in a P100d. Even still it was cool/fun like an amusement park ride, not like “hey this is a cool car.”
I don’t dislike EV’s and appreciate what they may be able to do for the environment, but I don’t want personally.

Why does everyone want Tesla to go under!?
Yes, Elon is an asshole who needs someone to check his Twats before he says asinine (and libelous) things to other people. But he is doing a net positive for the entire planet by pushing entire industries to change and adapt for the future.
I am not implying that Tesla is perfect and without fault either. Their labor and other various personnel violations should be investigated the same as with any other company.
But I still want them to succeed because Elon is moving us forward at a time when our society needs to be pushed toward the future.

People don’t want Tesla to fail, they want Musk to fail. It just so happens that he runs Tesla. By extension, all his boasting and failing to follow through is what really drove people to mock him. He consistently failed to deliver on time with his promises. He usually did eventually but only years later. This is a recipe for people to mock you.

Then instead of being petty and wanting Elon to fail, maybe we could just tell him to stop being an asshole?
I guess I just don’t understand the need to tear people down when they aren’t doing anything objectively harmful. And I feel that the only people his crazy tweets hurt are those who have chosen invest in his company and want ludicrous returns on their investment in an utterly untenable time-frame.
I do not have money in the market, so the fuck do I know about it?

People tried. It didn’t work. He also criticized the media and everyone who shorted the company. He acted, more or less, like a child. I would arg u e he has done things that are objectively harmful.
I don’t love or hate Tesla . It is hard to have a nuanced opinion about them. People expect you to be be loyal to one side or the other. If you attempt to be nuanced you are pretty much disliked by both sides.

His PR / Investor Relations philosophy is the polar opposite of Apple’s.
Apple likes to under promise and over deliver. Tesla likes to over promise and under deliver.

I certainly don’t want tesla to die, It’s not in our best interest
as automotive consumers
to loose an innovative brand.

I wouldn’t say that many people want Tesla to fail, or want Musk to fail; it’s more of a “Hey, this company is actually teetering on the brink of collapse”, but then a lot of people just laugh it off as if it’s not even possible.

Nah, if it ever happened, I’d pour one out for them, but people need to stop looking at the company through rose-colored glasses.

How can you not like tesla when elon musk is the smartest man in the world?
I don’t think I could say that out loud without laughing.
